A Bullard man is currently being held in the Titus County Jail and could face up to 20 years in prison when sentenced on a federal charge of Possession and Transporting Child Pornography after pleading guilty in May. According to Titus County Jail records, Nickalas Graham, 29, of Bullard, was arrested and booked into the jail by the United States Marshals Service on Friday, Jan. 20. more
A total of two people, including a 20-month-old child, were killed as a result of a wreck along Interstate 20 East in Van Zandt County during the evening hours of Friday, July 7. The expected start of the murder trial for the suspect accused of kidnapping and murdering a Tyler girl last November in Bullard has officially been pushed back until next year. On Thursday, July 6, Gustavo Zavala-Garcia, who was arrested in November 2016 and charged with capital murder in the disappearance and death of 10-year-old Kayla Gomez-Orozco of Tyler, appeared in a pre-trial hearing before the 241st District Court of Judge Jack Skeen Jr. more

The suspect involved in a recent shooting incident with a Smith County Sheriff’s deputy was booked into the Smith County Jail after being released from the hospital. The incident occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m. Saturday, June 17, when a patrol deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 8400 block of County Road 35, also known as Lavender Road. more
Work continues on Farm-to-Market Road 344 at the Bell Branch Creek bridge, approximately one mile west of State Highway 110, between Bullard and Whitehouse. The concrete work on this project will replace the culvert. The job also includes restoring the pavement. The plan is to have the culvert work done in approximately two months, with a project completion date of “summer 2017.” more
