Members of the Bullard community will come together to celebrate the nation’s birthday in a patriotic slash of red, white, and blue, as the City of Bullard will host the annual Fourth of July celebration, “Blast Over Bullard,” Saturday, July 1, in the parking lot of Bullard High School, located at 1426 S. Houston St. According to Bullard mayor Pam Frederick, the yearly Fourth of July celebration event, open to all community members and guests, is an avenue to allow the city of Bullard to display its patriotism, something the city has become known for around East Texas. more

The Salvation Army in Tyler will be collecting new box fans to families in need this summer. “We really need these fans as soon as possible as requests are already coming in,” said Aida Luna, Case Manager at The Salvation Army in Tyler. “There are many reasons why people ask for fans each year.
