The Smith County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a woman who reportedly made a terroristic threat via email against the law enforcement organization. According to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, the organization received an email on Monday, March 5, through its website. An investigation into the matter began quickly after the email’s sender made references to blowing up the building. more

The University of Texas at Tyler recently released the names of several local residents on the school’s Fall 2017 President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Lists. In total, 669 students were named to UT Tyler’s Fall 2017 President’s Honor Roll. In order to qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit with a grade of “A” in all courses. more
