Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractor, Missouri Petroleum, of St. Louis, Mo., is kicking off the Tyler District’s annual summer seal coat operations which helps preserve roadways. Workers will begin working on the list of 16 projects starting on Monday, August 7, and ending on Monday, Sept. 18. The scheduled work is subject to change due to inclement weather forecast for the area. more

The spirit of excitement was alive and well at Bullard High School last week, as the school hosted the Meet the Panthers event Friday, Aug. 11, at Panther Stadium. “We had a great turnout for the Meet the Panthers event,” said Susan Paddack, BHS teacher and organizer for the event. “There were a lot of members of the Bullard community out to support their Panther and Lady Panther athletic teams, as well as clubs and organizations. It was great to recognize the student athletes who will be representing BHS on the field or on the court this fall season. It was the first time we’ve hosted it, so of course there were a few kinks , which we will work on for next year, but overall, it was a very successful event.” more
