One of the many treasures of the city of Bullard is nestled on its outskirts. Moore Farms, a favorite location for East Texans in the fall, and its fields of pumpkins are located at 22142 CR 181, and is open for all to come and experience. Moore Farms began in 2000 as a dream of Cleve and Lesley Moore to open the farm to the public and educate people through agriculture, called “agritourism,” which has helped to give thousands of school children and visitors throughout the past 16 years a glimpse at the happenings on a working small family farm. more

The Smith County Elections Office saw a grand total of 835 people register to vote in the upcoming Tuesday, Nov. 8 elections in a timeframe of just two days last week. “I have had several people tell me this is the first time they have registered to vote,” Smith County Elections Administrator Karen Nelson said. There was even an 82-year-old woman who registered for the first time on Tuesday. I feel that because both Presidential candidates are so well known, it has caused people to be very interested in this election.” more
Members of the Bullard Future Farmers of America student organization loaded up the trailers and traveled to compete against the best competition in the state at the 2016 State Fair of Texas Livestock Show, held Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 4-5, at the Fair Park Fairgrounds in Dallas. more

A total of 18 members of the Bullard High School choral program were named to the Region 21 All-Region Choir after auditioning in the first round of the All-State Choir competition process Saturday, Oct. 1, at Whitehouse High School. more
