Tyler Aggie Moms have announced the first of what they hope will become an annual fund-raiser event. The scholarship dinner and silent auction is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, at Hollytree Country Club, located at 6700 Hollytree Dr., in Tyler. Congressman Louie Gohmert, who serves in the US House of Representatives from Texas District 1, is slated to be the guest speaker at the event. Gohmert received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M and is expected to share some stories from his time in Aggieland. more
The final preparations are being made, as students involved in local Future Farmers of America chapters are preparing to compete in the 2018 Smith County Youth Expo, to be held Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 28 – March 2, at Bullard High School. Students representing Bullard, Lindale, Winona, Troup, Whitehouse, Arp, Tyler Robert E. Lee, and other Smith County schools will compete at the Smith County Youth Expo throughout the three-day event. more
Fans of Bullard Panther football at all levels will not have to wait long for action to return on the field of play, as the Bullard Independent School District’s athletic department recently released the upcoming 2018 football schedules for varsity, junior varsity, freshman, and middle school teams. “Even though we just went through the redistricting process, it’s great to already have our schedule out so that our fans can come out and support Panther football on all levels,” said Scott Callaway, Bullard ISD more
Registration for students entering Pre-Kindergarten classes beginning in the 2018-2019 school year at Bullard Early Childhood campus is quickly approaching, as the school will host a registration event 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the BEC office. “Our goal is to help parents, students, and our campus by being proactive through Pre-kindergarten registration,’ said Laura Jones, Bullard ISD Communications Specialist. “Early registration helps us better prepare for the upcoming year so we can better set classes, assign teachers, and get supplies purchased in advance.” more
