For parents and students who missed out on Bullard Independent School District’s online registration event in May, the district is allowing an additional opportunity to get ready for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. In order to register students, parents can visit www.bullardisd.net, then hover the mouse over “BISD Logins,” and click on “Gradebook,” which will pull up the Skyward login screen. more
With school security as a hot-button issue across the country, Bullard Independent School District has taken a significant step in ensuring the safety of students and staff members during school hours. During a regular scheduled meeting of the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees held Monday, July 30, board members approved the recommendation of Superintendent Todd Schneider and hired John C. Jones as the district’s new Director of School Safety. more
TJC will offer classes on Saturdays for the Fall 2018 semester. Saturday classes offer alternatives for those unable to attend college during a traditional time frame, desiring to augment a traditional class schedule, or those who want to add classes to their day, evening or online schedules. more
Supporters of Smith County Area Go Texan packed the inside of the Harvey Hall Convention Center in Tyler Saturday, July 21, for the fifth annual Smith County Area Go Texan Scholarship Gala fundraiser event. “We had a great event again this year,” said Gary Hettenbach, member of the Smith County Area Go Texan and board member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “Naturally, we couldn’t do what we do without the efforts of our committee members, whom I deeply appreciate. My absolute thanks goes out to each and everyone that attended and helped to support our Smith County AGT goal of raising scholarship money for the youth of Smith County.” more
A local resident was recently among the newest members of one of East Texas’ most historic and well-known dance and drill teams. Reagan Wells, of Flint, was selected as one of the 36 new members selected to become a part of the world famous Kilgore Rangerettes dance and drill team. She is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. more
