The Brook Hill School is looking to get a jump early on the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, as the school is preparing to open up its re-enrollment process. “We’re really excited for re-enrollment to open up each year,” said Travis Albea, Brook Hill Director of Admissions and Marketing. “It’s always a great time to hear our student’s families select us as the school for their children once again. This event allows families the opportunity to give us a year-long contract with their student and commit to Brook Hill for another year. It’s great when families come back to us and say they’ve had a great experience, have loved being a part of the Brook Hill family, and are looking forward to coming back to us next year.” more
The award-winning Bullard Belles drill team, along with other Bullard Independent School District Fine Arts programs, performed in the Christmas spirit at the annual Bullard Belles Christmas Spectacular, held Monday, Dec. 11, inside the Bullard High School Audry B. Owens Auditorium. more
Bullard Independent School District will accept applications and nominations for people that have made a positive impact on the district for the Bullard ISD Wall of Honor Class of 2018 until the end of February. “The Wall of Honor is a great way of recognizing those individuals who have given many hours to the field of education or have simply made an impact on their community,” said Jan Hill, Bullard ISD deputy superintendent. “It’s an extraordinary honor and a sincere moment to realize all the hard work and other assets some of the greatest people have contributed to the Bullard community and to BISD.” more
The governing body of Bullard Independent School District has reorganized its officers after a special meeting last week. The Bullard ISD Board of Trustees met for a special meeting Wednesday, Jan. 10, inside the Bullard ISD Administration’s board room to discuss the vacancy left in the Place 3 seat. more
With the spring semester of the 2017-2018 school year now underway, students attending Bullard Independent School District schools are back in the classroom. Additionally, Bullard ISD is bringing back a tool designed to keep parents and community members informed about the district’s happenings, as the social media platforms for Bullard ISD and its six main campuses are back online. For citizens wishing to fulfill their civic duty and run for a seat on the Bullard City Council, the City of Bullard is currently applications for the upcoming Saturday, May 5 general election. more
Bullard High School will continue to be represented in all athletic competitions as a Class 4A athletics program, according to 2018-2020 classification assignments released by the Universal Interscholastic League released in early December. “This is an exciting time for communities and school districts across the state of Texas,” said Scott Callaway, Bullard ISD athletic director and Panther football head coach. “It’s always fun to watch the UIL redraw the district lines because it can either start new rivalries or rekindle the flames of some pretty historic rivalries; the redistricting mixes up the competition, which makes it really exciting.” more
Tyler Junior College will hold a final walk-in Registration Rally from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, in the Apache Rooms located in Rogers Student Center at the corner of Baxter Avenue and Lake Street. The registration sessions are open to any current, former or prospective TJC students. All participants must present a valid form of ID with identifiable photo. Advisors from all areas will be available to assist with course selection, degree plan information and advising questions. Staff will also be on-site to assist with online registration. Representatives from business services, financial aid and housing will also be on hand to assist and answer questions. more
The Bullard High School choral program has struck yet another resounding high note of success, this time after sending students to compete at the Region 21 Vocal Pre-Area Auditions, held Thursday, Nov. 16, at Hallsville High School. A program record total of 17 singers from BHS will advance to the upcoming All-Area competition, making up over 50 percent of the entire number of singers advancing from Region 21, leaving the rest of the schools making up Region 21 with just 15 vacancies. more
