A Bullard business is working to accomplish its mission of giving back to the community by ensuring the safety of local sports teams on the field of play this season. Bullard Family Dentistry, owned and operated by Dr. J. Brandon Allen, opened its doors in August 2014 and made it the business’s mission to support the Bullard community in its dental needs. more
A project allowing senior students at Bullard High School to the opportunity to add a little splash of color to their senior year experience will return to the campus this year. The project, brought up by BHS administrators, was approved unanimously at the regular scheduled meeting of the Bullard ISD Board of Trustees last August, allowing BHS seniors to creatively decorate their parking spots. more
Last week, millions of people across the United States of America experienced an event that is considered to be “once-in-a-lifetime, including a large crowd of students, parents, and community members gathered to witness the event at Bullard Intermediate School. As the moon crossed the path directly between Earth and the sun, a rare total solar eclipse was seen in the United States on Monday, Aug. 21, the first total solar eclipse visible in the continental United States in nearly 40 years. more
The administration of Bullard Independent School District welcomed back teachers and staff members from all six of the district’s campuses at the annual Bullard ISD Convocation, held Monday, Aug. 21, at Bullard High School’s Audry B. Owens Auditorium. “Convocation is my favorite day of the year,” said Todd Schneider, Bullard ISD Superintendent. “In our business, we get really busy during the summer in preparing for the next school year, and you don’t get to see the benefit of that until Convocation when teachers and staff are back on campus and students are about to come back. It’s always a powerful day for me personally and we try to make it that way for all of the employees of the district.” more
Kacy Crook is one for proving people wrong. Crook graduated Friday, Aug. 18 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Welding Technology at Texas State Technical College in Waco. She walked across the stage at the Waco Convention Center with more than 500 students from the Waco, North Texas and Williamson County campuses. Her parents and aunts attended the ceremony. more
With the upcoming Fiscal Year 2018 quickly approaching, both Bullard Independent School District and the City of Bullard will be holding upcoming public hearing events in regards to the entities’ proposed budgets and tax rates. more
The campuses of The Brook Hill School were filled with students once again last week, as the school began classes for the 2017-2018 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 16. more
