Bullard High School has elected a new queen, as senior Macy Riley was crowned as the 2017 BHS Homecoming Queen as a part of Panther Homecoming festivities Friday, Sept. 22, before the kickoff of the Bullard Panthers’ Homecoming football game against the Commerce Tigers, at Panther Stadium. more
The Brook Hill School is preparing to transport guests to the scene of one of the most famous motion pictures, as the school will host its annual Auction and Dinner fundraiser event, entitled “A Night in Oz,” slated for Friday, April 20, at Kiepersol Bushman’s Celebration Center, located at 1565 FM 2493 E., in Bullard. more
Panther spirit was alive and well last week, as hundreds of Bullard Panther fans were on hand for the annual Bullard High School Homecoming Parade, held Wednesday, Sept. 20, throughout the streets of downtown Bullard. more
The scene at Bullard Elementary School was recently filled with parents and students taking part in a number of activities focused on five areas of academics at the recent BES Family STEAM Night, held Tuesday, March 27, throughout the campus. “We love the opportunity to open our doors and to have our students’ families come in and interact with the students, our staff members, and each other and allowing them to experience activities involving STEAM,” said Jenny Kasson, BES principal. “We had such a great night with a large crowd coming out and having a night of family fun together.” more
With several community members running for seats on the Bullard Independent School District’s Board of Trustees in the upcoming Saturday, May 5 election, one face familiar to many in the city of Bullard will not have to campaign, after having won his seat back by running uncontested. more
The Bullard High School University Interscholastic League academic teams recently returned home from competing at the District level event, bringing home a number of top team and individual finishes, while also qualifying for the upcoming Regional meet. more
The Brook Hill School will take the time to honor two of their own who have made an impact on the life of the school, as the school’s Guardian Award will be presented to Headmaster Rod Fletcher and his wife, Heather, as a part of festivities during the school’s ninth annual Founder’s Day Celebration event, to be held Monday, Oct. 9. more
The months of October and November are usually the busiest for a Texas high school marching band program, affectionately known as “Bandtober,” filled with performances underneath the Friday Night Lights, as well as a number of marching band contests and festivals. For the Bullard High School Panther Marching Band, with Gary Jordan at the helm in his 23rd year as Bullard ISD Director of Bands, there are no days off in the fall semester. more
