A familiar face to athletes involved with the Bullard Independent School District’s athletic department will be returning to the Panther coaching staff for the 2018-2019 school year. Colt Bradford was recently hired by Bullard ISD athletic director and head football coach Scott Callaway to fill the roles of defensive coordinator for the Panther football team, as well as the head coach of the Lady Panther powerlifting team. more
Although the summer months are here, athletes within the Bullard Lady Panther volleyball program are gearing up for two upcoming opportunities, hosted by the program, to work on preparing for the next season of play. First, the Lady Panther volleyball program’s incoming 10th – 12th grade players will have a chance to get ready by attending a camp scheduled for 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. “It’s always exciting when camp rolls around because it starts to put the excitement of season in the air,” said Cristy O’Bannon, Lady Panther volleyball head coach. “It usually runs a week or two before season starts up and always seems to turn my brain on and gets my wheels turning. The girls always leave camp ready and hungry that season is about to start which only excited me more.” more

With just 42 days until the start of the 2018-2019 school year, the Brook hill Guard varsity football team will look to march to victory on the gridiron in the new campaign, as the team’s 2018 football schedule was recently released. “It’s always an exciting time when we release our schedule for the new season,” said Scott Ryle, Brook Hill Guard football head coach. “I know all of our athletes and our fans are anxious. We’ll be playing a lot of different teams than we have in the past couple of years, so hopefully, there will be some new rivalries established for our program.” more
A total of two new coaching hires were recently announced by the Bullard Panther athletic department for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year by Bullard ISD Athletic Director Scott Callaway. According to Callaway, Travon Brown, a native of Whitehouse, was recently hired to coach the Panther football team’s defensive line, as well as discus and shot put events for the Panther and Lady Panther track and field teams. more
Young athletes of both middle school and high school age and athletic aptitude are taking advantage of a free opportunity to work on getting in shape and ready for the 2018-2019 school year and sports seasons by attending early morning workouts at the Panther Summer Strength and Conditioning Camp, hosted by the Bullard Panther athletic department. more
The University Interscholastic League Legislative Council met Tuesday, June 12, to make decisions on proposed rule changes in UIL academics, athletics, music and policy. In athletics, the council approved the strengthening of penalties for players who are ejected from a contest, modified scrimmage start dates for baseball and softball. The council also modified fall practice regulations and spring training for football. more
