Bullard Panthers 7, Carthage Bulldogs 41, FINAL BHS: 0 0 0 7 - 7 CHS: 14 20 7 0 - 56 Continuing their prowl through the 2017 regular season, the Bullard Panther varsity football team was back in gridiron action, this time traveling to face off against the Carthage Bulldogs, ranked as the top team in Class 4A Division 1, in a district showcase Friday, Oct. 27, at Carthage High School. The Bulldogs wasted no time in making their way into the end zone during the first quarter of play, moving past the Panther defense for a 54-yard rushing touchdown. Carthage’s extra point attempt after the score was successful, putting the Bulldogs ahead of the Panthers, 7-0. more
Returning to action last week was the Bullard Panther and Lady Panther varsity cross country teams, as the teams traveled their way to compete in the UIL 4A Region II Cross Country Championship Meet, held Monday, Oct. 23, at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie, hosted by the University of Texas at Arlington athletic department. more
The Bullard High School Panther Fishing Club hooked success by the lips recently, as the team competed in the second event of the Texas High School Bass Association’s East Division, held Saturday, Oct. 21, on the waters of Lake O’ the Pines. The team’s lines reeled in a successful team finish at the second THSBA East Division event, bringing in a third place team out of the 19 teams competing at the tournament. more
The Bullard Little Dribblers organization has begun accepting registrations for the 2017-2018 season. The registration period will end on Friday, Oct. 27. This year, Bullard Little Dribblers will feature a total of four divisions for young athletes to participate in, including the Instructional Division (born between August 2, 2001 and August 1, 2013), the Minor Division (born between August 2, 2009 and August 1, 2011), the Junior Division (born between August 2, 2007 and August 1, 2009), and the Major Division (born between August 2, 2005 and August 1, 2007). Tryouts for the Minor, Junior, and Major Divisions will be held Thursday, Nov. 2 (Minors – 6 p.m., Juniors – 6:45 p.m., Majors – 7:40 p.m.) and Sunday, Nov. 5 (Minors – 2:30 p.m., Juniors 3:15 p.m., Majors – 4 p.m.), inside the Bullard Intermediate School gymnasium. more
