The leader for the local area golfers in the Boys 15-18 category was Jensen Smith, of Bullard, swinging his way tie for ninth place to a score of 79. more
The new season for the Brook Hill Lady Guard volleyball program will officially start in less than two weeks, as the team’s 2017 schedule was recently announced. In the 2016 season, the Lady Guard varsity volleyball team achieved an overall record of 20-13, 3-3 in district play, and a second place finish in the district. The team was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by the Dallas Christian Lady Chargers. To tune up for the upcoming season, the Lady Guard will face off against Frankston in a scrimmage match Friday, Aug. 4, in Frankston. more
Bullard High School’s Panther Stadium will be the scene of a community-wide pep rally event, as the school prepares to host Meet the Panthers, scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. more
With one team within the Bullard Baseball and Softball Association already bringing home a World Series title, there is a chance for another team to accomplish the same feat. The Bullard 10U Baseball team will attempt to claim their own World Series trophy at the upcoming 2017 Dixie Youth AAA World Series, to be held Saturday through Thursday, Aug. 5-10, in Oxford, Ala. more

The city of Bullard now has a new trophy to its name, and it’s all because of the Bullard Baseball and Softball Association’s 9U All-Stars Baseball team. The team competed at the Dixie Youth Region III World Series, held Friday through Sunday, July 21-23, in Ruston, La. The Bullard squad was a force to be reckoned with on the field of play, as the team went undefeated throughout the event to claim the World Series title and trophy. more
