Elizabeth Ann Wilson Primer passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017. A family memorial was held under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Ann was born to the late Giles Vinson and Mildred Harper Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas on July 16th, 1934. She earned a B. A. in geology from the University of Texas in 1956 and married Charles Austin Primer the same year while he was still in medical school. In 1966, they settled in Tyler, where he practiced Ob-Gyn for over 30 years.
She diligently served the community in countless ways, including through American Cancer Society, Camp Fire Girls, United Fund, Rose Festival, Sister Cities, Discovery Science Place, the Smith County Medical Alliance, and Bethesda Alliance. She gratefully belonged to Al-Anon for over thirty years. She attended Galilee Baptist Church. Due to her quiet faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior, her family joyfully anticipates a reunion in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, and her brother Charles Ernest Wilson. She is survived by her sister Mary Reynolds of Austin, her three children Cathy Krafve of Flint, Charla Autrey of Carrollton, Charles Primer, Jr. of Colleyville, their spouses, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, their families, and many loving friends.
The family extends a special thanks to Hospice of East Texas and her doctors Gene Earl, Preston Harrison, Grace English, Jeff Carr, Stephen Pamatmat, Michael Lewis, Moinuddin Shaikh and all her friends in the Smith County Medial Society.
In leu of flowers, donations to Bethesda Health Clinic, Bullard Mission House and Mission Clinic, or the charity of your choice will be gratefully cherished.
