The next scheduled performance for the Lindale Community Theater players is “The Boys Next Door,’’ opening Friday, April 21 at the theater in downtown Lindale, director Tim Mitchiner announced.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 21-22 and April 28-29. Sunday matinees are 2 p.m. April 23 and April 30.
Lindale Community Theater is located at 109 W. Hubbard, next door to the Lindale Candy Company.
“The Boys Next Door’’ is centered around a communal residence, where four mentally challenged men live under the supervision of an earnest, but increasingly burned out social worker.
Mingled with the scenes from the daily lives of these four – where little things sometimes become momentous (and often very funny) – are moments of great poignancy when with touching effectiveness, we are reminded that the handicapped, like the rest of us, want only to love and laugh and find some meaning and purpose in the brief time that they, like their fortunate brothers are allotted on this earth.
Doors open 45 minutes prior to show time.
Adult tickets are $15, with student tickets $12. Tickets for 12 and under are $8. All tickets can be purchased with cash or check and a small service charge will be applied to all credit/debit card purchases.
Tickets are available at the door or on the website, www.lindalecommunitytheater.org.
There are no reserved seats.
The show contains adult language and may not be suitable for children.
