Bullard residents recognized, promoted to new positions with Austin Bank

A total of two Bullard residents were recently honored by receiving promotions from a well-known banking entity in the East Texas area.

Jeff Austin III, Vice Chairman of the Board, recently announced the promotion of Austin Bank employees Toni Davis and Brenda Williams.

The promotions were approved at the March 2018 Board of Directors meeting at the Austin Bank corporate office in Jacksonville.

“Each of these employees is a true professional who is dedicated to giving our customers exceptional service,” said Austin. “We are proud to have them as members of the Austin Bank team.”

Davis has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Assistant Retail Market Manager for Smith County.

She joined Austin Bank in 2006, bringing with her a total of 10 years of previous banking experience. Davis has held the role of Retail Office Manager of the Bank’s Tyler West Loop location throughout her tenure.

With her promotion, she will continue to manage the Tyler West Loop location, where she will also assist with overseeing retail operations for the bank’s Smith County offices.

A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Davis attended Northeast Texas Community College and has completed the Bank’s STAR Leadership program in addition to multiple banking courses. She is a Junior Achievement Volunteer and serves as a Board member for the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Davis and her husband, Kyle, reside in Bullard with their two sons.

Likewise, Williams, who previously served as Senior Vice President/Special Projects Manager, received a promotion to Senior Vice President and Senior Compliance Officer/Project Manager.

During her 24 year tenure with the Bank, Williams has served as a manager of the Central Loan Document Department, as well as Compliance Officer, Loan Review Officer, and Loan Officer.

She is a graduate of Tyler Junior College and LeTourneau University, as well as multiple banking schools, including the Institute of Certified Bankers Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager training, American Bankers Association Compliance School, and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, while also serving as an active member of the East Texas Compliance Group.

An active member of the community, Williams has worked with the American Business Woman’s Association, the Circle of 10, Habitat for Humanity, and Boy Scouts of America.

Williams and her husband, Terry, live in Bullard and have one son and two grandsons.
