The Smith County Tax Office branch inside Bullard City Hall will now be located in Noonday.
The tax office, which has been housed in Bullard City Hall for more than a decade, will permanently close on Tuesday, April 11, for moving day. The Tax Office Branch will reopen in the Noonday Justice of the Peace/Constable facility on Wednesday, April 12.
According to Gary Barber, Smith County Tax Assessor-Collector, moving out of Bullard City Hall will allow the city to expand its offices, as well as allow the office the opportunity to expand its services to residents in the future.
“We wish to thank the city of Bullard for letting the tax office operate in its facilities for many years,” Barber said. “They have been wonderful to our office.”
Auto Clerk Melanie Bellew will handle auto registration needs in the office from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, as well as 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The Precinct 2 offices are located at 15405 U.S. Highway 155 South.
