Services for Glenda May Crump, 75, of Bullard were held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Burkett, officiating. Burial followed at Tyler Memorial Park, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crump was born May 20, 1943 in Turkey, TX to Wanda Zane and Louis Folley. She passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Tyler. Glenda enjoyed simple pleasures like her flower garden; her African Grey parrot, Prettyboy; and a glass of extremely sweet tea.
Above all, she cherished celebrating life with friends and family. Glenda loved to give gifts to anyone she knew to let them know she was thinking of them. She lived to bring a smile to a loved one’s face.
Glenda liked to spend her weekends playing dominoes with dear friends. She looked forward to annual class reunions with her Bullard High School graduating class of 1961.
She cherished any time spent with her children, granddaughters, and great-grandson. The void of her absence in the lives of many loved ones will only be filled by the hope of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Louis and Dorothy Folley; mother and stepfather, Wanda Zane and Frank Loftin; and sisters, Melva Wintters and Catherine Powell. She is survived by her loving family including son, Louis Stephens; daughter, Melva Zane Edwards; granddaughters, Holly Edwards and Katy Myers; great-grandson, Jackson Myers; brother, Ray Folley; and sister, Claudette Love.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Myers, Mike Chandler, Larry Gardner, Justin Hunt, George Fletcher, Ray Moore, Adam Comer, and Steven Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were her nephews: Todd Wintters, John Wintters, Tony Folley, Troy Folley, and Frank Love.
