Guard, Lady Guard XC programs perform well at American Warrior Run meet

The Brook Hill Guard and Lady Guard high school and middle school cross country programs sprinted their way into action last week, as the teams competed at the second annual American Warrior Run Cross Country Meet Saturday, Sept. 2, at The Brook Hill School.

Guard Varsity:

The Brook Hill Guard varsity cross country team had a total of four runners competing in the American Warrior Run, as the team was unable to place in the top team rankings.

Guard varsity cross country runner Elliott Middleton paced the team with a strong finish, placing 32nd with a time of 22:00.36.

Other Guard varsity cross country runners competing at the American Warrior Run included Justin Powell, placing 62nd with a time of 26:10.11; Hayden Hommell, placing 65th with a time of 28:06.57; and Rush McLarry, placing 66th with a time of 28:30.18.

Lady Guard Varsity:

The Brook Hill Lady Guard varsity cross country team was represented by a total of two runners at the American Warrior Run.

Lady Guard varsity cross country runner Diana Ramirez was able to place the highest for the team, taking home a 24th place finish with a time of 16:38.44.

Also competing for the Lady Guard varsity cross country team was Kayla Dahn, placing 39th with a time of 18:25.88.

Guard Middle School:

At the American Warrior Run, a total of four runners competed for the Brook Hill Guard middle school cross country program.

Nathaniel Dahn was the quickest runner for the Brook Hill middle school cross country team at the American Warrior Run, securing a 32nd place finish with a time of 15:35.20.

Other Guard middle school cross country runners competing at the American Warrior Run included James Jordan, placing 51st with a time of 16:37.79; Landon Holik, placing 64th with a time of 18:02.71; and Colin Dement, placing 92nd with a time of 21:55.94.

 

Lady Guard Middle School:

A total of two runners raced down the trail and cross the finish line for the Brook Hill Lady Guard middle school cross country program at the American Warrior Run.

Callie Bailey was the first runner to cross the finish line at the American Warrior Run for the Lady Guard middle school cross country program, taking home 14th place with a time of 15:46.59.

Also competing for the Lady Guard middle school cross country team was Karissa Dahn, claiming a 20th place finish with a time of 16:00.90.

Next meet: Saturday, Sept. 9 - Tyler Lee XC Classic at UT Tyler.
