Runner registration is expected to sell out for fifth annual FRESH 15, which includes a 15K, 5K and kids’ 1K race. This epic race will take place Saturday, March 3 at FRESH by Brookshire’s, located at 6991 Old Jacksonville Hwy. in Tyler.

“We are proud to once again have this opportunity to offer a premier running event in Tyler,” said Trent Brookshire, executive sponsor for the FRESH 15. “We knew we had to go big for year five, and it will be bigger and better than ever. Whether this is your first year to participate or you are celebrating five years with us, we know you will have a truly amazing time and we hope to see you cross the FRESH 15 finish line.”

A competitive prize purse totaling $22,000 is being offered for the top finishers of this year’s 15K race.

Since the inaugural race, over 16,000 runners and 2,400 volunteers have participated. To celebrate the 5th year, the bar has been raised to include new features and improved race day extras.

The 15K and 5K race courses give a scenic view of South Tyler, which starts and ends at the FRESH by Brookshire’s store.

The fun doesn’t end at the finish line, as the “Party on the Pavement” will take place at the FRESH 15 post-race celebration for participants and spectators.

This year, FRESH 15 will offer a runners-only area featuring exclusive vendors and swag. There will still be a public vendor area and live band performance featuring The Spazmatics.

The FRESH 15 is for the entire community, runners and supporters alike. Each year, hundreds of volunteers are needed to make this event a success.

All proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations that provide strength, stability and safety for families in East Texas and surrounding areas. The FRESH 15 has raised over $500,000 for charities in the past four years.

Race-bibs will be required for entry. For more information on registering as a runner or a volunteer for the event, visit www.bgcracing.com.
