Tiffany Haddish was sued for child molestation.

Yes, you read that correctly. The 43-year-old actress was just accused of child abuse in a lawsuit filed on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in California’s Superior Court for Los Angeles County.

According to People, a lady called Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and comedian Aries Spears on behalf of a youngster named John Doe. Tiffany reportedly took Jane to the taping of a “sexually provocative Subway ad” when she was 14 years old and allegedly ordered her to conduct improper sexual actions. Jane also claims Tiffany offered to help her get on television.

More information about the lawsuit

For those of you who are unaware, Tiffany Haddish was acquainted with the mother of Jane and John Doe back in the day. Their mother claims that she and Tiffany met via comedy and were friends during their separate divorces.

“We were both going through a divorce,” the mother of two explained to The Daily Beast. Divorces are messy, nasty, dirty, messy… We simply got really, really, extremely close.”

Tiffany Haddish and her ex-husband William Stewart married in 2008 but separated a year later. Tiffany divorced her then-husband, William Stewart, in 2013 after five years of marriage.

According to the lawsuit, Haddish contacted Jane and her family “every birthday and Christmas.” Jane revealed details of the session to The Daily Beast, saying, “I attempted to replicate what they wanted me to emulate, but it still came out just incredibly uncomfortable.” When I exited the booth, I realised I hadn’t finished what they had asked of me.”

Tiffany Haddish’s attorney has refuted the allegations.

According to Tiffany’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, “Plaintiff’s mother, Trizah Morris, has been seeking to raise these baseless allegations against Ms. Haddish for several years.” Every attorney who first took on the case — and there were several — eventually quit the case when it became evident that the charges were without substance and Ms. Haddish would not be swayed.”

“Now, Ms Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this action,” Haddish’s attorney Andrew continued. They will have to face the repercussions of their silly behaviour jointly.”
